We are pleased to announce that we will increase our flight offer between Brussels and Budapest as from Monday 13th of February.

Brussels Airlines will introduce 5 extra rotations per week which will bring it's total flight offer to 3 daily flights. The new flight will leave BRU at 13:45 L.T. and BUD at 16:25 L.T. Moreover we will increase the aircraft capacity on the morning and evening flights to A319/737.

Your clients can book their flights to Budapest, the business capital of Hungary, which is  also a great city trip destination ! The extra flight will offer a good evening return to Brussels for businessmen and perfect connection possibilities on the Brussels Airlines network.

  1. NEW SCHEDULES TO AFRICA for the winter season :
  • One extra flight on Monday to Abidjan ! Increase from 3 flights per week to 4 flights per week (days 1.3.5.7)
  • Reduction of frequencies to Accra from 4 flights per week  to 3 flights per week (days ..3.5.7). The Monday flight is cancelled.
  • The rotational direction changes on the Friday from Brussel To Abidjan and Monrovia. The flight will go directly from Brussels to Abidjan and return via Monrovia to Brussels.

 
Bamako (Mali) nieuwe bestemming per september 2011

Per begin september 2011 zal Bamako worden toegevoegd aan het netwerk van Brussels Airlines.
 

We are very happy to announce that as from 7 September 2011, Brussels Airlines will start offering 2  flights weekly to Bamako (Mali), the fastest growing city in Africa.
The direct flights will be operated on Wednesdays and Sundays according to this schedule:

Mali has been the cradle of empires and is known for its World Heritage sites. Along the ancient trans-Saharan caravan trail lays the legendary city of Timbuktu. Visiting these wonders will now be easier than ever with Brussels Airlines.

DIRECT FLIGHTS BETWEEN BRUSSELS AND KINSHASA

This summer, Brussels Airlines proposes DIRECT FLIGHTS BETWEEN BRUSSELS AND KINSHASA!
This is great news for your customers as passengers will no longer have a stop on inbound or outbound flights.

This summer season, Brussels Airlines sets out to 20 African destinations.
Enclosed is a summary of the changes on our African destinations as from 27 March 2011:

*   DKR  5 direct non-stop flights per week with an increase in seat capacity!
*   BJL   Increase to 4 commercialized flights per week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
             and Saturday.
*   CKY  Daychange: Flights will be on Tuesday instead of Wednesday.
*   FNA</ b>  Daychange: Flights will be on Thursday instead of Friday.
*   ROB  3 flights per week: on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
*   ABJ   2 flights per week: on Monday and Friday.
*   OUA  Daychanges: Flights on Tuesday and Saturday instead of Monday and Friday.
*   COO  2 weekly frequencies: flights on Tuesday and Saturday.
*   EBB   3 flights per week: on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
*   NBO  3 flights per week: on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

New afternoon flight to Berlin

As from October 31st Brussels Airlines will offer an additional afternoon flight to Berlin in replacement of the last evening flight out of both Brussels and Berlin. This change improves the flight choice for both leisure and business travell ers with 4 departures between 14:00 and 20:00 hours from both Brussels and Berlin and increases connectivity to and from Europe. Tickets to Berlin are available as from 99 euro all-in.
Daily bus service between The Netherlands and Brussels Airport

Brussels Airlines is pleased to inform you that starting July 5th 2010, a daily bus service will operate between Amsterdam (via Rotterdam) and Brussels Airport to better serve passengers from The Netherlands travelling to and from Brussels Airport.

To ensure timely connections with Brussels Airlines' long haul departures to Africa, the bus will leave Amsterdam at 04:15 in the morning from the Stadionplein opposite the Olympic Stadium, make a short stop in Rotterdam at 05:15 (subway station Capelsebrug) and arrive at 07:15 at Brussels Airport.
Arriving passengers travelling to The Netherlands benefit from a morning departure in Brussels at 09:15 to arrive at 11:15 in Rotterdam (subway station Capelsebrug) and 12:15 in Amsterdam (Stadionplein opposite the Olympic Stadium).

Tickets cost 30 euro for a one way trip or 50 euro for a return trip, and can be purchased on www.airportxpress.nl or last minute at the Brussels Airlines ticketing desk in the departure hall at Brussels Airport.
The bus arrives and leaves at the back of platform B at the bus station (level 0).

Brussels Airlines lanceert vier nieuwe Afrika bestemmingen

 Accra, Cotonou, Ouagadougou en Lomé met bijkomende Airbus A 330 / 110 extra personeelsleden

Brussel 21 februari 2010 – Brussels Airlines lanceert in juni vier nieuwe Afrika bestemmingen. Accra (Ghana), Cotonou (Benin), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) en Lome (Togo) zullen meermaals per week met een bijkomende Brussels Airlines Airbus A 330 verbonden worden met Brussels Airport. Ook de bestaande frequenties naar Abidjan (Ivoorkust) worden verhoogd. Dankzij deze expansie werft Brussels Airlines 110 bijkomende personeelsleden aan.

De vier nieuwe bestemmingen situeren zich in West-Afrika en ontbraken totnogtoe in het uitgebreide Brussels Airlines Afrika netwerk en in het vluchtaanbod van Brussels Airport. Brussels Airlines richt zich met dit nieuwe vluchtaanbod, zowel op de etnische markt als op business reizigers, diplomatiek reisverkeer als toeristen.  De vluchten naar deze nieuwe bestemmingen zullen uitgevoerd worden met een bijkomende Airbus A 330-300 die eerstdaags langeafstands vloot vervoegt. De eerste vluchten zijn voorzien in de eerste week van juli.

Overzicht Nieuwe Bestemmingen

Accra (Ghana)

Ghana is telt 23, 8 miljoen inwoners en heeft een succesvolle economie gericht voornamelijk op de mijnbouw, de ontginning van de talrijke natuurlijke rijkdommen (olie, …) en de export van cacao. Talrijke multinationals hebben een vestiging in Ghana. Het land verwelkomt ook jaar na jaar meer toeristen die het rijke eco toerisme potentieel ontdekken. Er is in talrijke Europese landen waaronder de Benelux, de UK en Duitsland een omvangrijke Ghanese diaspora.

De Ghanese hoofdstad Accra zal vier keer per week (maandag, woensdag, vrijdag en zondag) in het vluchtaanbod van Brussels Airlines opgenomen worden.

Cotonou (Benin)

De voormalige Franse kolonie Benin telt ruim 8, 5 miljoen inwoners en staat bekend voor haar katoen export en landbouw productie. De zeehaven speelt een belangrijke rol in de regio. De overheid richt zich momenteel op de ontwikkeling van internationale investeringen, landbouw, technologie en toerisme.

Brussels Airlines zal twee keer per week een vlucht verzorgen naar Cotonou (dinsdag en zaterdag)

Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso)

Burkina Faso is omringd door niet minder dan zes landen en telt ongeveer 16 miljoen inwoners. De economie is afhankelijk van de landbouwproductie, de mijnbouw en talrijke samenwerkingsprojecten met andere landen. Vele ngo’s zijn in het land actief en steeds meer toeristen bezoeken Burkina.

Brussels Airlines zet twee keer per week koers van Ouagadougo (donderdag en zondag).

Lome (Togo)

De voormalige Duitse kolonie Togo, ook wel de Parel van Afrika genoemd, heeft 6,6  miljoen inwoners. Togo voert vooral mijnbouwproducten (fosfaten, …), landbouwproducten en katoen uit. De haven van Lomé is de enige diepzee haven in de regio (Golf van Guinnee) en ook de cargo-activiteit op de luchthaven speelt een belangrijke rol. Togo wordt volledig omringd door Benin, Burkina Fasso en Ghana.

Brussels Airlines zal Brussels Airport twee keer per week verbinden met Lomé (maandag en vrijdag).

Omvangrijk Afrika aanbod Brussels Airlines     

Dankzij deze expansie zal Brussels Airlines met haar Airbus A 330-300 vloot voortaan niet minder dan 18 Afrikaanse bestemmingen bedienen. Alleen al langsheen de Afrikaanse Westkust zet Brussels Airlines koers naar 14 luchthavens verspreid over 13 landen. Brussels Airlines passagiers kunnen bovendien ook gebruik maken van het Lufthansa vluchtaanbod naar Nigeria, Equatoriaal Guinea, Gabon, Soedan, Angola en Zuid-Afrika.

“We bouwen verder op onze jarenlange ervaring als Afrika specialist”, zeggen Brussels Airlines co CEO’s Michel Meyfroidt en Bernard Gustin. “Afrika is de tweede thuis van Brussels Airlines en deze belangrijke investering is daar nogmaals een duidelijke illustratie van. In de vier nieuwe landen die we nu toevoegen aan ons netwerk werden we bijzonder warm ontvangen toen we het nieuws brachten dat we hun hoofdsteden in het Brussels Airlines netwerk gaan opnemen. We brengen niet alleen uitstekende vluchtverbindingen naar Ghana, Benin, Burkina Faso en Togo maar we dragen ook bij tot de verdere economische ontwikkeling van deze West-Afrikaanse landen.”

Met Benin, Burkina Faso en Togo voegt Brussels Airlines ook drie nieuwe landen en bestemmingen toe aan het wereldwijde Star Alliance vluchtaanbod.

Brussels Airlines versterkt ook verder haar Afrika hub in haar eigen Afrika ‘T’ terminal in Brussels Airport. Net zoals alle andere Afrika bestemmingen van Brussels Airlines zullen ook de vluchten naar deze bijkomende Afrika bestemmingen vlotte connecties toelaten met talrijke aansluitende vluchten naar andere Europese bestemmingen, de Verenigde Staten, het Midden-Oosten, Indië en China.

Omwille van de marktvraag in Frankrijk voor deze nieuwe bestemmingen zal Brussels Airlines trouwens vanaf het zomerseizoen een bijkomende dagelijkse lijndienst aanbieden naar Parijs CDG die vlotte overstapmogelijkheden garandeert. De recente investering in een Brussels Airlines lijndienst naar Londen Heathrow …..

110 bijkomende personeelsleden

Om deze Afriak expansie mogelijk te maken werft Brussels Airlines momenteel 110 werknemers aan. Er moeten vacatures ingevuld worden voor 12 piloten en 50 kabine personeelsleden. Ook op de luchthaven en in enkele ondersteunende diensten leidt deze groei tot een tiental extra aanwervingen. In de nieuwe Afrikaanse stations creëert Brussels Airlines werkgelegenheid voor een veertigtal nieuwe collega’s. Indirect kunnen er bij onderleveranciers (luchthavens, luchthaven handling, catering, security…) nog eens tientallen bijkomende personeelsleden aan de slag.
Brussels Airlines adds Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea to its African network

As from end of January 2010 and thanks to an extended codeshare partnership with Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines extends its African network with four new destinations: Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt in Nigeria and Malabo in Equatorial Guinea. Flights are operated by Lufthansa and flight schedules have been adjusted to allow smooth connections in Frankfurt.

Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa will also have a codeshare agreement to Angola. Hence, passengers of both airlines can make their choice between four weekly flights to Angola (2 operated by Brussels Airlines from Brussels and 2 operated by Lufthansa from Frankfurt).

In addition, all flights are eligible for earning and redeeming Miles & More miles.
PRIVIUM SN Brussels  is geen deelnemer van het unieke Privium Serviceprogramma op Schiphol, aangezien zij niet op Schiphol vliegen. Op Brussel is deze faciliteit (nog) niet aanwezig.
